Accreditation is about quality control, which is designed for consumer protection and safety. It is a collegial process based on various forms of assessments for improvement of academic quality and public accountability. It provides an external, third-party evaluation of the educational institution’s level of ethical standards, financial integrity, and academic credibility. The accrediting process of REAC requires all member institutions to examine their goals, operations, and achievements, followed by the expert criticism and recommendations of team of professional agents, and later by the official vote of the accrediting board.
Regional Education Accrediting Commission is an independent private organization chartered as an accrediting agency for pre-school, elementary, secondary, adult, postsecondary as well as higher learning, supplementary education programs. It is dedicated to assisting those institutions in achieving a quality accreditation, characterized by academic excellence and ethical practices.
