Purpose:

Ultimately, the accrediting or final accreditation process is all about fostering excellence in education. This includes College, University, secondary, adult, postsecondary as well as supplementary education programs. Our fundamental cause involves helping schools meaningfully create the highest quality learning experience they can envision for all students and set forth standards to maintain such status. It is our mission to consistently and professionally support schools in their endeavors of creating for themselves a clear vision of what they desire for their students to learn and experience at each intuition. REDAC willl ensure that efficient and relevant systems are in place in the fulfilling these expectations for every student.

The capacity of any educational institution to improve is based upon their ability to recognize, acknowledge, and act on its identified strengths and limitations. The accreditation process is a vehicle that enables schools to improve student learning and school performance based on an analysis of those strengths and limitations. Participating schools must meet rigorous, research-based standards that reflect the essential elements of a quality and effective school, but again, must also be able to demonstrate engagement in as well as capacity to provide continuous school improvement. The purpose of the Regional Education Accrediting Commission, REDAC, is to assist educational institutions -- post-secondary through College – whether public, private, or church related, in the improvement of education within proscribed criteria by establishing an attestation to their credibility of performance, integrity, and quality of standards.
